Fashion Inspiration: GRECE GHANEM – COLOURS and PATTERNS

In June you had the chance to see an installation called AGE IS JUST A NUMBER at the Galéria shopping centre, where we presented five influencers over 50 whose approach shows that we have reached the threshold of an era in which the way we dress is no longer about age, but rather about mindset, status, or the occasion we are dressing for. One of them is Grece Ghanem.
She grew up in Lebanon, where she studied microbiology and worked as a hospital lab technician. In 2005 she and her daughter moved to Montreal, where she began working as a personal trainer. When she set up her Instagram profile in 2015, she had no intention of becoming an influencer. The driving force was her daughter, who showed her how to look for street-style fashion inspiration. Grece soon started posting photos of her own outfits just for fun. Since signing with Storm Model Management in 2020, she has worked with a number of brands and today she is a fixture of the fashion scene.

“Don’t judge a piece of clothing until you put it on and see how you feel in it. And, importantly, don’t be afraid to experiment.” – Grece Ghanem (60, microbiologist and personal trainer)
The confident way she wears clothes is exceptional – and that is why 1.6 million Instagram followers have fallen in love with her. Grece Ghanem is a lover of colour and knows how to work with it wonderfully. “Colours can get your energy flowing. They’re fun and they can lift your mood or reflect your good mood. Green is one of my favourite colours, because nature is one of my greatest inspirations and I draw a lot of strength from it. I also love animal prints and checks. I often wear colours and patterns together – you could say it’s key to my personal style – but I always want the overall outfit to look cohesive. Sometimes I hear people say they think only I can dress like this. My advice to them is: try it. Don’t judge a piece of clothing until you put it on and see how you feel in it. And, more importantly, don’t be afraid to experiment.”

For the mannequin inspired by fashion icon Grece Ghanem, we chose from the stores at the Galéria shopping centre: Skirt Orsay, Top Lindex, Jacket Orsay, Shoes Robel, Handbag CCC, Glasses CCC, Chain necklace Street
